BUSINESS BIO:
Robert Cain has worked for or consulted to more than 50 entertainment companies on 4 continents during his 18 years in Hollywood, primarily as a film and television production, finance, strategy and corporate development expert. He has conceived and led new business startups and financing transactions for numerous entertainment ventures.

Mr. Cain recently served as Acting COO/CFO of Vox3 Films, an independent production company that produced the films “Broken English” starring Parker Posey, “Fur,” starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey, Jr., “Secretary,” starring James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal. He is the Executive Producer of two films that were released in U.S. theaters in 2007 and of a family animated film that will release in 2009. He frequently conducts strategic planning, M&A advisory, and market development projects for entertainment and media clients.

From 2003 to 2005 Mr. Cain was based in Moscow, Russia, where he served as President of Amedia Kino, the film production division of Russia’s largest television production company, and as a consultant and producer for Andreevsky Flag, a private company focused on investing in film production, distribution, for which he developed and set up the film “Mongol,” which was nominated for a 2008 Academy Award. During this time he was also engaged in several transactions that provided Wall Street institutional capital to co-finance major Hollywood films.

Mr. Cain has consulted to most of Hollywood’s major studios and talent guilds, and to numerous entertainment, Internet and software industry startups. He has aided talent-based companies such as Danny DeVito’s Jersey Films, Aaron Spelling’s Spelling Entertainment and Wesley Snipes’ Amen Ra Films in formulating and executing business plans to expand their operations. His corporate clients have included Universal Studios, MGM, Sony Pictures Entertainment, DirecTV, NBC, the BBC, Big Ticket Television, the Screen Actors Guild, Kodak, New Line Cinema, Mattel, ADV (Russia’s largest advertising company), Shanghai Media Group, and many others. He has managed international entertainment projects in Russia, Korea, China, Mexico, Canada, India, the United Arab Emirates and the U.K.

Mr. Cain’s film experience extends from finance and distribution management to creative duties on more than a dozen successful films, including such critical and commercial successes as “The Usual Suspects,” “Breakdown,” “Bound,” “Blade 2,” and “Cabin Fever.” He is Executive Producer of the Jeff Bridges comedy “The Amateurs,” which released in theaters in December, 2007; Executive Producer of “Laura Smiles,” starring Kip Pardue and Jonathan Silverman, Executive Producer of the animated family film Foodfight!, starring Charlie Sheen, Eva Longoria and Hillary Duff, which will be released in 2009; he set up the film “Mongol,” an action epic about the early life of Genghis Khan which has been nominated for a 2008 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language film; and is Co-Producer on the film “The Grand Design,” starring Eric Stoltz.

Mr. Cain previously served as the head of corporate development for Spelling Entertainment Group, creating new business opportunities and analyzing acquisitions for the company’s film, television and home video divisions. At Spelling he created the business plan and helped raise over $100 million to start up Big Ticket Television, the creator of such hit shows as “Moesha” and “Judge Judy.”

Mr. Cain’s software industry experience includes work with numerous startups, including stints as COO/CFO for a digital filmmaking and visual effects company, as CEO with an online game company, as CFO for an Internet educational content company, and as founding CFO of an Internet streaming audio company. He has successfully raised early-stage funding for several Internet and entertainment ventures, and has helped catalyze numerous others.
