BUSINESS BIO:
Founder and President of Test Pilot Productions, SHERYL LEVINE GUTERMAN's maverick producer skills were honed at unique companies like Alan Landsberg Productions, Tandem, and Billy Jack Productions. She has developed television mini-series and backdoor pilot/movie deals with Warner Bros., Don Johnson Productions, and others. Her production and post-production experience includes work with Alex Haley and Stan Margulies on "ROOTS: THE NEXT GENERATION," Jon Voight on "LOOKIN' TO GET OUT," Fern Field on "ELEANOR, FIRST LADY OF THE WORLD," Carroll O'Connor on "BENDER'S FORCE," and Elmer Bernstein on "REPORT TO THE COMMISSIONER." Many of her projects are based on true stories of contemporary and historical figures, ordinary heroes doing extraordinary things, and she has optioned the life rights to the story of Operation Iron Triangle soldier PFC Corey Clagett, about whom she is currently writing a screenplay.

As a writer for film, television, and print and a producer of stage plays, Sheryl received the Gold Award at the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival for her romantic comedy screenplay "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MR. WRONG," and the Anti-Defamation League's Excellence in the Arts Award for her production of the West Coast Premiere of "Hannah Senesh." Following her stage production about this Hungarian WWII freedom fighter, she produced a documentary short, filmed in Hungary, about Senesh's life. For Disney, she wrote the award-winning "THEY'LL BE SORRY WHEN I'M GONE," about teenage suicide. With her two prior companies, The Mensch Company and The Manna Company, Guterman's productions have received an Ovation Award, a Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award, L.A. Weekly and DramaLogue Awards, and a Robby Award for Best Production of a Comedy ("Loot" at The Tiffany Theatre). Guterman directed staged readings of "Who Shall Live?" and "Darfur Stories."

With her Mensch Company off-shoot, Mensch Management, Guterman managed actors for a number of years. She has actively participated in the Writers Guild of America (Committee Advisory Panel and Chair, Committee of Women Writers), Women In Film (Script Marketing Workshop Chair), and Theatre LA, and presently serves on the board of Pink-Link.org. She was selected for the Warner Bros. TV Writers Workshop, and graduated early from the University of Texas At Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-TV-Film.
