BUSINESS BIO:
Alex Hershtik began to practice as an accountant in
1985, working for one of the largest accounting firms (Big
8) as an auditor, focusing on manufacturing, construction,
nonprofit, entertainment, wholesale distribution, Health
Care, and automotive industries. After the dissolution of
this accounting firm, Mr. Hershtik worked for two local
firms, before starting his own firm The CPA
Advantage in March of 1992. Mr. Hershtik is an
experienced, service-oriented accountant, who helped form a
number of private and family foundations, as well as
nonprofit organizations. He assisted a number of start-up
companies in the high tech industry, and helped family
businesses expand into new lines of business.
Mr. Hershtik and the other professionals in the firm
focus on helping their clients with every aspect of their
business need, and in many occasions function as the
businesses outside CFO. The firm renders accounting
services, payroll services, bookkeeping, financial audits,
tax planning and preparation, audit representation,
retirement planning, estate planning, business succession
planning, computer consulting, and software selection and
implementation.
Alex Hershtik received his CPA license from the State of
California in May 1989. He is a member of both the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California
Society of Certified Public Accountants
PERSONAL BIO:
- Born and raised in Israel
- Served in the Israeli military as a deputy commander
of an armored brigade. In Yom Kippur war served as a tank
commander on Golan Heights
- Moved to the United States in 1980
- Resides in Northridge, with his wife of twenty years,
Orly, and his two children Avital, and Alon
- Loves to travel, mostly back home to Israel, and
enjoy time with his family
