Marlon Parry’s first brush with the entertainment industry began when he operated high profile nightclubs in Detroit, then moved to Los Angeles, where he operated the world famous rock venue “Sasch” by night, mixing with celebrity patrons. During the day, Marlon attended film school, studying screen writing under Michael Miner, writer of the original “Robo-Cop,” then upon graduation, began his film career working for Studio executive John Fiedier, who produced “Good Man In Africa”, starring Sean Connery, and the war film “The Beast” starring Jason Patrick.

Next, Marlon moved on to direct and produce music videos. His very first music video directing effort was nominated by the MVPA for best director in the jazz category for Alfonzo Blackwell’s “Love No Limit” video Marlon Parry has produced and directed over 70 music videos over the course of his career, with highlights like the Skee Lo video “I Wish” which reigned #1 on MW for over a month. in addition, Marlon has produced over 30 national commercial campaigns including Purina, Febreze, The Rocky Video Game, X-Box, and the Playstation: Tom Clancey’s Splinter Cell 4.

Marlon’s first feature, which he produced and directed in 1997 was the popular beach comedy “Black Spring Break.” Next was the cult gangster film “Winner Takes All,” which Marlon wrote, produced, and starred in as the villain Frank, a crooked DEA agent. In 1999, Marlon followed this by producing Snoop Dogg’s “Tha Eastsidaz”, and the acclaimed Latin drama “Road Dogz,” continually featured on HBO. In 2002, Marlon was one of the producers of the cult film, “Chaos.” In 2004, Marlon produced the drama, “Karla,” starring Laura Prepon of “That 70’s Show” and Brandon Routh, the new “Superman.” In 2005, Marlon produced the horror film “Triloquist,” about a murderous ventriloquist dummy. In 2006, Marlon produced the hit comedy “Senior Skip Day,” starring Tara Reid, Norm MacDonald, and Jackson Rathbone. In 2007, Marlon produced the acclaimed drama “La Linea” starring Andy Garcia and Ray Liotta. In 2008, Marlon re-united with Road Dogz director Alfredo Ramos to produce the Latin comedy ‘Food Stamps,” starring Danny Trejo.

Marlon has two other features in post production, slated for 2010 release; the first is an urban comedy. The second is a Southern crime drama tentatively titled, “The Deadly South,” which Marlon wrote, directed, produced and starred in, portraying the retro 50’s, gothic rock villain-professional killer RELLIK.

Presently, Marlon Parry is producing HOPE LOST, which he will direct with writer/director Jeffrey N. Albert. The film, which is schedule to shoot in the first half of 2010, is a science fiction action/drama about a lonely computer security tech who thinks he has found the woman of his dreams. When the lady turns out to be much more than she appears, he finds himself caught between two camps of immortals at war with each other.
