BUSINESS BIO: Writer-producer-director, Maurice Poplar cut his teeth in the Tokyo underground film making community. After returning home to the states, Maurice began developing his storytelling craft working short films, commercials and industrial films. Maurice has had success as a director working on commercials that range from animation to kinetic action vignettes, and everything. As a producer, he has worked for Bill Duke, ChoChoChing productions, and as a writer, has sold a pilot, and optioned two feature length scripts. Maurice is a graduate from UC Berkeley and Antioch University with a MA in Creative Writing and a world traveler, having visited 35 countries.
