BUSINESS BIO:
Albert Ruis created and wrote the successful family comedy "Ping!," produced by Initial Entertainment ("Traffic," "Aviator," etc.) and distributed theatrically and on home video by 20th Century Fox. Starting his television career on the finance side with "Night Court," and "Madman of the People," he segued to teleplay writing, winning the prestigious Americas Writer's Script Competition for his "Murphy Brown" spec script.

Albert created, wrote and produced the dramatic featurette "Close to Home" for R2 Productions. He also wrote and directed "The Dinner" a comedy short about a naive young man and his dinner date with a cannibal.

He has created and written over a dozen screenplays and TV spec scripts including the theatrical comedy "Traffic School," the supernatural thriller "A Model Life," and the action thriller "The House That Jack Built." Albert has hung his hat at places like Sony Studios, The Disney Channel, Walt Disney Studios, DisneyToons and Warner Bros. Television. Today Albert is developing several projects for Whisper Films, Ltd., a newly-formed entertainment company. Currently, in development at Whisper Films is a family comedy, an animated TV show, a telenovela as well as several other projects for the cable, internet and cell phone content market, including the produced "Grapes to Glass," and "Cooking With Sophie" to be distributed by his partners at Black Sands Entertainment.
