BUSINESS BIO:
A graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in American literature, Sakai began her professional career as an assistant to Academy Award winning documentarian Robert Amram. A 40-year veteran of the entertainment industry, Amram exposed Sakai to all areas of filmmaking and film history.

In 2005, she segued into production for commercials, television and feature films at the management and production firm Anonymous Content and then at Twentieth Century Fox Television working with TV line producer Mark Alpert of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Charmed" and "CSI Miami."

In 2007, Sakai moved into independent producing for new media and short form media for companies including HBO On-Demand and later commercial production company Caviar/Atomik, exploring the changing media marketplace. In addition to independent producing, she has extensive experience in post-production as post-producer on two films premiering in 2009 The Attic Door and Acts of Mercy both executive produced by HBO Entourage's Erica Harrell. Sakai's skills continued to evolve in post-production during her year as CEO of Redeye Digital Post in West Los Angeles.

In addition to business development, Sakai consults for top international firm IFDC. Natalie Sakai joined IFDC to work alongside Jerome Bliah in international film acquisitions and operations in October 2007 and currently works as Manager of Worldwide Acquisitions and Operations. She attends all major film markets including AFM, Cannes, and Berlin working with international sales companies and international buyers.

As a production consultant, Sakai works with producer Connie Siu offering investment and production advisory services through Siu and Sakai Productions. With Siu, Sakai is actively involved in the the entertainment community through networks including Women in Film, Next Gen Femmes, and Film Independent.

Sakai's multi-faceted understanding of the entertainment industry and network of contacts keeps her in-the-know of film news and market changes.
